Configuring PPPoE Intermediate Agent on a Client Interface

Configures the Point-to-Point Protocol over Ethernet Intermediate Agent (PPPoE IA) on a client interface.
Do this procedure to enable and configure the PPPoE Intermediate Agent on the specified PPPoE client interface.
  1. Enter global configuration mode.
    device# configure terminal
  2. Specify the interface. 
    device(config)#interface ethernet 1/1/23
  3. Enable the intermediate agent on the interface.
    device(config-if-e1000-1/1/23)#pppoe intermediate-agent
  4. Specify the circuit ID to be added as part of the vendor tag.
    device(config-if-e1000-1/1/23)#pppoe intermediate-agent circuit-id circuit01
  5. Specify the remote ID to be added as part of the vendor tag. 
    device(config-if-e1000-1/1/23)#pppoe intermediate-agent remote-id remote01

The following example enables and configures the PPPoE Interface Agent on the specified PPPoE client interface.

device(config)#interface ethernet 1/1/23
device(config-if-e1000-1/1/23)#pppoe intermediate-agent
device(config-if-e1000-1/1/23)#pppoe intermediate-agent circuit-id circuit01
device(config-if-e1000-1/1/23)#pppoe intermediate-agent remote-id remote01
