`mtu-exceed`

Configures a port to forward traffic to a port with a smaller MTU size.

Syntax

mtu-exceed { forward | hard-drop }

no mtu-exceed { forward | hard-drop }

The no form doesnt seems to have any use. please check and update.

Command Default

Port does not forward traffic to a port with a smaller MTU size (hard-drop).

Parameters

forward: Configures the port to fragment and forward a packet from a port with a larger MTU to a port with a smaller MTU.
hard-drop: Configures the port to resets to the default and removes the forward function.

Global configuration mode

Usage Guidelines

The no form of the command configures the port not to forward traffic to a port with smaller MTU size.

Examples

The following example configures the port to fragment and forward a packet from a port with a larger MTU to a port with a smaller MTU.
