Configuration Wizard

The enrollment process for MacOS devices follows the same process as the other OSes. Once a device is authorized in the enrollment portal, a download page is presented. Depending on administrator configuration in the Cloudpath UI, the download may be a .zip “Wizard” executable installer within a .zip file, or a .mobileconfig MacOS “Profile." Both download options allow the network settings and associated certificates to be installed to the device. Starting with MacOS version “Big Sur,” the wizard executable is no longer compatible with MacOS. For “Big Sur” and newer versions, only the .mobileconfig “Profile” option can be used. The user experience can also vary depending on the Java version detected (if installed), the browser, or the OS version on the device.
