router-interface

Attaches a router interface to a Layer 2 VLAN.
Syntax
router-interface ve num
no router-interface ve num
Command Default

A router interface is not configured.

Parameters
ve num
Specifies a virtual router interface number.

The no form of the command removes the router interface from the VLAN.

Examples

The following example shows how to attach the router interface to a Layer 2 VLAN. 

device(config)# vlan 1 by port
device(config-vlan-1)# untagged ethernet 1/1/1
device(config-vlan-1)# tagged ethernet 1/1/8
device(config-vlan-1)# router-interface ve 1
