Setting GPS Coordinates Using the RUCKUS One Mobile App

The US FCC mandates AFC geolocation to determine the permissibility of transitioning to substitution-permutation in specific channels. It is different from the concept of the GPS coordinates of the Zone configuration that can be manually entered. The identification of the geographic location of a device is based on various data collected from different areas of the same place.
Since RUCKUS Wi-Fi 6e APs do not have embedded GPS, their location must be set using the RUCKUS One mobile app. If the AFC geolocation for Wi-Fi 6e/7 APs is configured through the RUCKUS One mobile application, it takes precedence over the GPS location detected by the AP. If the AP does not detect the GPS location or if the geolocation of the AP is not set through the mobile application, the geolocation of the AP is obtained through the geolocator. RUCKUS One calculates the AFC Geolocation of the neighbor APs, to reduce the user's effort to set AFC geolocation by mobile application.
To set the GPS coordinates of the AP using the RUCKUS One mobile app on your mobile device, complete the following steps:
  1. Log in to the RUCKUS One mobile app and select the Geo-Location Management menu option.
