You can use the built-in management functions of the device to monitor the topology,
port status, physical status, and other information that help you analyze the switch
performance, and to accelerate system debugging. The device automatically performs
power-on self-test (POST) each time it is turned on. Errors, if any, are recorded
in the syslog messages.
