Viewing and Managing IoT APs
At the top of the page, you will find quick overview tiles:
- AP Status: Displays the total number of IoT APs and their operational status (Online or Offline).
- AP Approval Status: Shows how many IoT APs the IoT Controller has approved for use.
The main panel displays all the APs. The table includes columns such as Status, MAC ID, IP, Name, Plugins, and so on.
Complete the following steps to view and edit AP information and configurations.
- From the main menu, click APs.
- (Optional) Customize the table display.
- Modify the order of rows displayed. Click on any column header to reorder the table rows in ascending or descending order based on that specific column’s values.
- Modify the number of rows displayed per page. The table defaults to
displaying 10 rows of data. Below the table, you will find page display
options:
- The entries-per-page drop-down allows you to control how many rows of data are displayed per page (options include 10, 20, 50, and 100).
- Arrow keys help you navigate between pages of data in the table
when the table exceeds the entries-per-page setting.
Note: If the arrows are greyed out, it means you are already on the first or last page and cannot move further in that direction.
- Click the
icon to choose which columns to
display in the IoT APs table. By checking or unchecking boxes,
you can tailor the view based on what information is relevant to
you.
- (Optional) Click the
icon in any column header. A textbox appears. Enter a filter value (for example,
filter by a specific Name, IP, or Status, and so
on). The table will update to display only the APs that match your filter
criteria. - (Optional) Configure or modify a
specific IoT AP. Click on a specific IoT AP in the table list; the sidebar
appears, displaying AP
Info, Radio Info,
and Configurable Settings.
Click Apply to save all modifications that you made. Otherwise, click
the
icon to dismiss the sidebar without saving any
changes. - Click Pre-Approve APs to approve either a single or multiple IoT APs. For more information, refer to the topic Adding an IoT AP.
- (Optional) Filter the table
content based on the level in the network hierarchy (from Entire Network
down to one specific AP).
The Network Hierarchy filter, displayed above the APs table, allows you to control or modify the scope of data displayed in the table. By default, the view is set to Entire Network, which consists of the full hierarchy containing all clusters, domains, groups, and APs. Use the drop-down list to select the specific portion of the network for which you want to display data, then click Apply.
The page refreshes displaying only the APs matching the filter criteria.
- (Optional) Click the
icon to download the details of the listed APs into a CSV file. - (Optional) Click the
icon to reload the data. - (Optional) To perform additional
actions, select one or more APs, or select the checkbox next to the
Status column to select all APs. The toolbar displays
the number of selected APs and the available options.
- Un Approve: Allows you to revoke the approval status of the selected IoT AP.
- Scan For Devices: Allows you to initiate a scan to detect nearby IoT devices connected to the selected AP. For more information, refer to Discovering IoT Devices.
- IoT Service Restart: Allows you to restart the IoT service on the selected AP to resolve operational issues.
- Pull Container Logs: Allows you to retrieve service logs from the selected IoT AP for troubleshooting.
- Set Log Level: Allows you to change the log level (for example, Debug, Info, or Error) for the selected AP.
- Set Transfer Log: Allows you to set transfer log settings for the selected AP.
- Set Channel: Allows you to set the IoT radio operating channel on the selected AP.
- BaaS Operations: Allows you to configure BAAS iBeacon Major No and BAAS iBeacon Minor No for the selected AP.
- Add Tags: Allows you to assign new tags to the selected AP for easier categorization and management.
- Delete Tags: Allows you to remove existing tags from the selected AP.
- Remove: Allows you to delete the selected IoT AP from the controller.
