Activating and Editing the SESimagotag Plugin

Activate the plugin to manage electronic shelf labels from SESimagotag. All ESL data is securely routed to the configured Vusion endpoint.

Prerequisites: Prior to starting this task, obtain the APC URL and APC Port number. Refer to Getting the APC URL and APC Port from the VUSION Manager Cloud Platform for more information.

To establish a connection to a partner infrastructure, the administrator must perform the following steps.

  1. From the RUCKUS IoT Controller main menu, click Admin.
  2. Click Plugins.
    The Plugins page is displayed. You can search for a plugin by its name in the Search plugins to locate it.
  3. Click the Available Plugins tab.
    You will see tiles with plugin names on them. Locate the SESimagotag tile.

  4. In the SESimagotag tile, click + Configure to activate the plugin.

  5. Configure the following parameters.
    1. In the APC URL field, enter the endpoint URL.
    2. In the APC Port field, enter the port number.
      Note: Refer to Getting the APC URL and APC Port from the VUSION Manager Cloud Platform to retrieve the value for APC Port.
    3. For the Override ESL Channel, click the toggle to enable manual selection of the Electronic Shelf Label (ESL) communication channel.
      Note: By default, the Override ESL Channel option is disabled.
    4. For the Channel field, if the Override ESL Channel option is enabled, then select a channel ranging from 0 through 10 from the drop-down list.
      Note: By default, the value for the Channel field is managed.
    5. In the Container Image Version field, the version number of the SESimagotag container image is auto-populated.
  6. Click Activate to save the changes.
    After saving the changes, the SESimagotag plugin is added to the Active Plugins tab and is removed from the Available Plugins tab. Under the Active Plugins tab, locate the SESimagotag tile. To modify the configurations, click Configure. To deactivate the plugin, click Deactivate.
  7. (Optional) Click Configure to edit the existing configuration.
    The SESimagotag sidebar is displayed. Make the required changes and click Update.
  8. (Optional) Click Deactivate to deactivate the plugin.
