Managing IoT Access Points
In this section:
- IoT AP Overview
- Gateway OnboardingThe IoT AP onboarding process establishes secure communication between the RUCKUS IoT Controller and IoT-enabled access points (gateways). When an AP connects, it appears as Unapproved until you authorizes it. Once approved, the controller validates firmware compatibility, enables relevant IoT plugins (such as Zigbee or BLE), and transitions the AP to an Online state.
- Viewing and Managing IoT APsThe APs page provides a consolidated view of all IoT Access Points connected to the RUCKUS IoT Controller. It allows you to monitor AP status, firmware versions, and active plugins, view uptime and model details, and manage AP approvals. From this interface, you can quickly assess network health, troubleshoot connectivity, and ensure all APs are authorized and functioning correctly.
- Pre-Approving IoT APs
- Exporting IoT APs to CSVExporting IoT APs to CSV is useful for quickly viewing, sharing, and analyzing data outside of the application. It allows you to work with AP data in spreadsheet tools, making it easier to generate reports, perform bulk edits, or archive information for future reference.
