Stack Zero-touch Provisioning
Stack zero-touch provisioning is a subset of the stack interactive-setup utility without any user interaction. Stack zero-touch provisioning can detect new links between existing units and can discover new clean units (without startup-config flash), but it cannot change existing unit IDs. Stack zero-touch provisioning is similar to running stack interactive-setup option 2 and accepting all recommended values.
Stack zero-touch provisioning is enabled by entering
stack zero-touch-enable in global configuration mode. It is triggered every three minutes in background.
RUCKUS recommends that you make all physical connections and then configure
stack zero-touch-enable. Wait for a few minutes for zero-touch provisioning to trigger and discover new units
or new links.
After all new units join and all new links appear in
show running-config command output, it is better to disable stack zero-touch provisioning using the
no stack zero-touch-enable command. Leaving stack zero-touch provisioning enabled is harmless; however, the
utility sends probes in background every three minutes, which wastes resources if
there are no more units or links to discover. (In contrast, stack interactive-setup
immediately sends out probes when you run it.)
