Setting Up RADIUS over IPv6
RUCKUS devices can send RADIUS packets over an IPv6 network.
To configure the RUCKUS device to send RADIUS
packets over IPv6, enter the radius-server host command followed by the keyword ipv6 and the IPv6 address of the host as shown in the
following example.
Note: When you
enter the IPv6 host address, you do not need to specify the prefix length. A
prefix length of 128 is implied.
Note: The
radius-server host
command and the radius-server key command must be entered on the same command
line to configure the ICX device to authenticate end devices through 802.1x or
MAC authentication. device# configure terminal device(config)# radius-server host ipv6 2001:DB8::300 acct-port 1813 default key ruckus dot1x mac-auth
The example configures the RADIUS server with the IPv6 address 2001:DB8::300 and the RADIUS key ruckus for 802.1x and MAC authentication.
