chassis poll-time

Configures the interval at which the system polls the chassis for status updates.
Syntax
chassis poll-time seconds
no chassis poll-time seconds
Command Default

The poll-time interval is 5 seconds.

Parameters
seconds
Specifies the polling interval in seconds. Valid values range from 2 through 65535 seconds. The default is 5 seconds.

Usage Guidelines

Use this command to configure how frequently the system polls the chassis for status updates. The polling mechanism supports monitoring of hardware health and operational state, enabling timely detection of issues such as fan failures, temperature anomalies, or power supply irregularities.

The no form of the command removes the chassis polling interval custom configuration, restoring the polling interval to the system default value.

Examples

The following example sets the chassis polling interval to 30 seconds.
