cfg-archive management archive-size
The archive size is set to the default of 100.
Privileged EXEC mode
If the existing number of archives in the system is greater than the user-configured archive size value, the old archives get deleted. For example, if the existing number of archives in the system is 12, and the user configures the archive size value as 8, the oldest 4 archive files are automatically deleted. However, if the user sets the archive size to value higher than the existing number of archive files, no archives are deleted.
The following example changes the archive size from 20 to 8.
device#cfg-archive management archive-size Show the maximum archive size Current number of archives supported = 20 device#cfg-archive management archive-size 8 Request to change the number of archives: 8 Name of archive files to be deleted: 1 : ICX7K_ARCHIVE_07 2 : ICX7K_ARCHIVE_09 3 : ICX7K_ARCHIVE_01 4 : ICX7K_ARCHIVE_02 About to delete the listed archives above. Are you sure you want to delete all file(s)? (enter 'y' or 'n'): y maximum number of archives allowed[old=20 new=8]
The following example aborts the action to change the archive size to a value lower than the existing archive size.
device#cfg-archive management archive-size Show the maximum archive size Current number of archives supported = 8 device#cfg-archive management archive-size 6 Request to change the number of archives: 6 Name of archive files to be deleted: 1 : ICX7K_ARCHIVE_16 2 : ICX7K_ARCHIVE_18 About to delete the listed archives above.
