Configuring a static route from the default VRF to a non-default VRF

You can create an IPv4 static route from the default VRF to a non-default VRF.
SME: Verify example.
Apparently the default VRF configuration mode does not exist for NOS or Fusion. So how do you configure static routes between the default VRF and non-default VRFs in Fusion? Does NOS work the same way? As documented, the procedure does not work for these platforms.
VRFs included in the route configuration must be valid VRFs.
To create an IPv4 static route between the default VRF and a non-default VRF, follow these steps.
  1. Enter global configuration mode.
    device# configure terminal

  2. Create a Route Descriptor.
  3. Configure the destination address and mask, the next hop VRF, and its IP address.

The following example creates an IPv4 static route on the default VRF to network addresses beginning with 10.128.2.69 (Route Descriptor 2:1). It uses VRF Blue, with an IP address of 10.1.1.1, as the next-hop gateway.
