| NTP Server Start Delay |
The NTP server response from an ICX switch can be delayed until the ICX switch itself has synchronized with an external NTP server. This can be used when an ICX switch is being used as both an NTP server as well as a client. |
Refer to NTP Server Start Delay for rmore information. |

Scaling updates (ND Scale, Multicast Scale, OSPFv2 Scale, OSPFv3 Scale, BGP Scale) |
Four predefined forwarding profiles are supported for ICX 7850 devices. Three predefined forwarding profiles are supported for ICX 7550 devices. Various system-max entries are set for each predefined profile. |
Refer to Forwarding Profiles. |
| Nexthop Scale | For and ICX 7850 devices, a new entry has been added to the predefined forwarding profiles. The IP nexthop table size has been added to the predefined forwarding profile. A higher IP nexthop table size is supported for all platforms. | Refer to Forwarding Profiles. |
| NextHop Scale for ICX 7550 Devices | For ICX 7550devices, predefined forwarding profiles are supported. The IP nexthop table size is included for the predefined forwarding profile for these devices. A higher IP nexthop table size is supported for all platforms. | Refer to Forwarding Profiles. |
| Log Manager |
The Log Manager infrastructure provides the capability to log the application log files in a centralized repository. The centralized repository can be accessed for viewing the log files and take appropriate troubleshooting actions. |
Refer to Log Manager for more information. |
| Precision Time Protocol (PTP) and Transparent Clock |
PTP has been developed to ensure clock synchronization in a packet-based network like Ethernet network and to correct the latency and time delays. A Transparent Clock (TC) measures the time taken for a PTP event message to transit the device, and provides this information to clocks receiving this PTP event message. |
Refer to Precision Time Protocol for more information. |
| PoE and IEEE 802.3bt specifications |
PoE on RUCKUS ICX 7550 devices is IEEE 802.3bt standard compliant. The IEEE 802.3bt standard has increased the amount of power that can be transmitted over the Ethernet cable. |
Refer to Power over Ethernet for more information. |
