Enabling OSPFv2 NSR

OSPFv2 non-stop routing (NSR) can be re-enabled if it has been disabled. The following task re-enables NSR for OSPFv2.
Note: GR is mutually exclusive to NSR.
  1. Enter the configure terminal command to access global configuration mode. 
    device# configure terminal
  2. Enter the router ospf command to enter OSPF router configuration mode and enable OSPFv2 globally. 
    device(config)# router ospf
  3. Enter the nonstop-routing command to re-enable NSR on the device. 
    device(config-ospf-router)# nonstop-routing

The following example re-enables NSR for OSPFv2. 

device# configure terminal
device(config)# router ospf 
device(config-ospf-router)# nonstop-routing
