Using SSH Connection

If you have connected the administrative computer to the same subnet or broadcast domain as the Management (Web) interface of the controller, follow these steps to start and configure the SSH client.

  1. Start PuTTY. The PuTTY configuration dialog box appears, showing the Session screen as seen in Selecting SSH as a connection type.
  2. In Connection type, select SSH.

  3. Enter the IP address of the Management (Web) interface of the controller in the Host Name (or IP address) field as seen in Selecting SSH as a connection type.
  4. Click Open. The PuTTY console appears and displays the login prompt. See PuTTY console displaying the login prompt.
