RUCKUS One subscriptions are now 100%
device agnostic. The end-to-end agnostic licensing model eliminates the need for
differentiating SKUs between access points (APs), RUCKUS ICX Switches, and SmartEdge
devices.
You can now purchase, activate, and entitle subscriptions and assign the licenses
in Cloud.
When you add a new device to your RUCKUS One account, the newly added
device will utilize the license from the license pool. When you delete a device from
your RUCKUS One account, the
device will be removed from your RUCKUS One account and the license is
automatically released back to the pool of available licenses. MSP accounts can now
assign
device subscriptions to their end customers without the specifying device type such
as number
of APs, number of switches, and number of SmartEdge devices.
RUCKUS
One licenses are available as standard licenses and temporary or trial licenses that
support full product functionality.
RUCKUS
One standard licenses have an activation grace period of 180 days after which the
subscription start date cannot be modified. The 180-day activation grace period provides
self-service ability to select the subscription start date within 180 days from the
day the
purchase order was received by RUCKUS. That is, the user can log in to activate the
license on
any day within the activation grace period of 180 days and can even select a date
in the
future, within the activation grace period, as the subscription start date. Correspondingly,
the subscription end date is calculated automatically by adding the purchased subscription
term duration to the selected subscription start date; thereby ensuring the full term
of the
subscription to the user.

APs, switches, and SmartEdge devices.

Purchased licenses must be activated to become valid. License activation and management
can
be handled through the RUCKUS Support Portal (https://support.ruckuswireless.com).
An email message is sent to the user identified on the purchase order with instructions
on
