Working with the NPS

Deploying the NPS

Attention: The following configuration steps assume you have AD DS and AD CS services already running in the Windows Server. In case these services are not present in your server, refer to Active Directory Configurations to access the Windows Server Manager, and install and configure these services.

Complete the following steps to deploy your Network Policy Server:

  1. Type "server manager" in the Windows search bar to open Server Manager on the Windows server.
  2. Add the NPS role in the Server Manager. In the Dashboard page of the Server Manager, click Add roles and features to open the Add Roles and Features Wizard.
