ICX-Management in RUCKUS One

FastIron release 09.0.10e introduces support for RUCKUS One.1 2

Note: When ICX-Management is connected to RUCKUS One, managed ICX devices stream device data to the RUCKUS One server at an interval of 60 to 300 seconds, depending on ICX device configuration. During this interval, an increase in CPU utilization of 30% to 40% might be observed. Device streaming to RUCKUS One is performed as a low priority function, and it does not affect the CPU processing of higher priority packets (for example, spanning tree, ARP, etc.).

RUCKUS One supports the following features:

  • Adding and monitoring switches or stacks
  • ICX configuration, including
    • Switch configuration profiles
    • Routed interfaces
    • Change default VLAN
    • Switch-specific settings: hostname, Jumbo Mode, IGMP Snooping, and DHCP server
    • Port settings
    • LAG management
    • VLAN interfaces
    • Switch Configuration file backup and restore
  • Client visibility
  • Firmware upgrade
  • Remote CLI session
  • Configuration changes from the CLI
  • Troubleshooting (Remote Ping and Traceroute)
  • CLI templates and provisioning

Refer to RUCKUS One Documentation for more information.

  1. As a part of release migration from the RUCKUS Cloud to RUCKUS One, ICX 7000 Series Switches will be automatically upgraded from FastIron release 08.0.95ca (and later) to FastIron release 09.0.10f. Users will be notified before the upgrade is scheduled. ↩
  2. As an exception, FastIron release 10.0.00 and subsequent patches do not support RUCKUS One; however, FastIron release 10.0.10 and later will support the feature. ↩
