Differences between Stack 100G and Data Link 100G Modes on ICX 7550 Devices

In default stack-100g mode, the x/2/1 and x/2/2 ports are each composed of 2 X 50-Gbps ports.

The output from the show stack connection command indicates that the x/2/1 port is, in fact, two ports: x/2/1 and x/2/1#2.

All UP stack ports operate at 100G

In default stack-100g mode, ports x/2/1 and x/2/2 can be used as data ports if 'stack enable' or 'stack-port' is not configured on the ICX device. The ports can link to other 2 X 50-Gbps data ports on another ICX 7550 device that is operating in default stacking mode. The ports cannot link to standard 100-Gbps ports.

When an ICX 7550 device is operating in data uplink mode, ports x/2/1 and x/2/2 serve as standard 100-Gbps ports that can link to standard 100-Gbps ports on any platform from any vendor.
