Converting Stacking Ports to Data Ports on ICX 7150 Devices

Follow these steps to convert a stacking port to a data port on an ICX 7150 device.
  1. Enter global configuration mode.
    ICX7150-24 Router# configure terminal

  2. Enter configuration mode for the stack unit.
    ICX7150-24 Router(config)# stack unit 1
    ICX7150-24 Router(config-unit-1)#

The example enters configuration mode on stack unit 1.
  3. Use the no stack-port command to remove stacking from one stacking port to convert it to a data port.
Note: Starting from FastIron release 09.0.00, converting a live stacking port to a data port using the multi-stack-port or the multi-stack-trunk command disables the resulting data ports to avoid potential loops. However, this feature does not apply to the stack-port or the stack-trunk command.
    ICX7150-24 Router(config-unit-1)# no stack-port ethernet 1/3/3
    stack-port ethernet 1/3/3 is removed.

The following example converts stacking port 1/3/3 to a data port.

ICX7150-24 Router# configure terminal
ICX7150-24 Router(config)# stack unit 1
ICX7150-24 Router(config-unit-1)# no stack-port ethernet 1/3/3
stack-port ethernet 1/3/3 is removed.

ICX7150-24 Router(config-unit-1)# show stack
