Controller Configuration Backup

A configuration backup in SmartZone is a saved snapshot of the controller’s current settings, including network policies, device configurations, and system preferences. It allows administrators to restore or replicate the controller’s setup quickly in case of system changes, upgrades, or failures.

Complete the following steps to back up the cluster configuration using the controller CLI.

  1. Log in the controller CLI and enter the command enable to access the Privileged EXEC mode. Enter the enable super-user password.
  2. Enter the command backup config. Type yes to access the procedure.
    This process captures the controller configuration state, which can later be restored if needed. 
    sz144-1> enable

  3. Enter the command show backup to review the existing configuration backup files:
    sz144-1# show backup
