Configuring the Maximum Number of LSAs in the LSDB for OSPFv3

The maximum number of link state advertisements (LSAs) in the link state database (LSDB) can be configured for OSPFv3. The following task sets the maximum number of LSAs in the LSDB to 20000.

The maximum number of LSAs that can be configured is 25000.

  1. Enter global configuration mode. 
    device# configure terminal
  2. Enter OSPFv3 router configuration mode. 
    device(config)# ipv6 router ospf
  3. Configure the maximum number of LSAs in the LSDB 
    device(config-ospf6-router)# lsdb-limit 20000

The following example sets the maximum number of LSAs in the LSDB to 10000 in OSPFv3 router configuration mode. 

device# configure terminal
device(config)# ipv6 router ospf
device(config-ospf6-router)# lsdb-limit 10000
