Configuring the Maximum Number of LSAs in the LSDB

The maximum number of link state advertisements (LSAs) in the link state database (LSDB) can be configured for OSPFv2. The following task sets the maximum number of LSAs in the LSDB to 40000.

The maximum number of LSAs that can be configured is 50000.

  1. Enter global configuration mode. 
    device# configure terminal
  2. Enter OSPF router configuration mode. 
    device(config)# router ospf
  3. Configure the maximum number of LSAs in the LSDB. 
    device(config-ospf-router)# lsdb-limit 40000

The following example sets the maximum number of LSAs in the LSDB to 10000. 

device# configure terminal
device(config)# router ospf
device(config-ospf-router)# lsdb-limit 40000
