Proactive Monitoring of Cable Signal Errors and Logging Proactive Monitoring of Cable Signal Errors and Logging helps to identify deteriorating cables in a network. Cable signal errors are identified proactively and, once errors are identified, a SYSLOG message is logged so that the link can be checked and monitored.
