Configuring Syslog Rate Limiting

Syslog Rate Limiting allows administrators to control the maximum number of syslog messages a device generates per second.
The following task configures the limit of syslog messages to 100 per second..
  1. Enter global configuration mode.
    device# configure terminal
  2. Configure the syslog rate limit.
    device(config)# logging-rate-limit 100
    

The following example configures the limit of syslog messages to 100 per second.

device# configure terminal
device(config)# logging-rate-limit 100
