Syslog Service Configuration
Complete the following procedures to configure syslog:
- Specify a syslog server. You can configure the RUCKUS ICX device to use up to six syslog servers. (Use of a syslog server is optional. The system can hold up to 1000 syslog messages in an internal buffer.)
- Change the level of messages the system logs.
- Change the number of messages the local syslog buffer can hold.
- Configure syslog rate limiting to control the maximum number of syslog messages generated per second.
- Configure a threshold value for the logging buffer, based on which a syslog warning message is generated when the log entries exceed the specified threshold value.
- Display the syslog configuration.
- Clear the local syslog buffer.
