Pre-Provisioning Switches in the Controller

While the GUI is useful for configuring an individual switch, pre-provisioning through a CSV file offers you the ability to configure multiple switches at once.
Before you begin, ensure the CSV file is created and populated as per the required CSV file format for the pre-provisioning data. For creating a CSV file, refer to ICX Pre-Provisioning into SmartZone.
Complete the following steps to upload and import a CSV file, and to join multiple switches to the controller.
  1. From the main menu, navigate to Network > Wired > Switches.
    The Switches window is displayed.
  2. In the left navigation pane, select a domain or switch group.
Note: By default, the System domain is selected.
  3. In the right navigation pane, click More. A drop-down list is displayed with various options. Select the Import Batch Provision Switch option.

The switches are either successfully imported into the system or the import fails. In both cases, the dialog box provides feedback on the import process, and you can take further action based on whether the import was successful or not.
