show ip interface

Displays configuration and status information pertaining to the IP-related attributes and services for a network interface.
Syntax
show ip interface [ ethernet unit/slot/port | loopback num | tunnel num | ve num | lag lag-id ]
Parameters
ethernet unit/slot/port
Displays information for a specified Ethernet interface based on unit, slot, and port number.
loopback num
Displays information for a specified loopback interface number.
tunnel num
Displays information for a specified tunnel interface number.
ve num
Displays information for a specified Virtual Ethernet (VE) interface number.
lag lag-id
Displays information for a specified Link Aggregation Group (LAG) number.
Modes

User EXEC mode

The show ip interface command displays the following information:

Output field Description
Interface The type, slot, and port number of the interface.
IP-Address The IP address assigned to the interface.
OK? Indicates whether the IP address is properly configured on the interface.
Method Indicates whether the IP address is saved in Non-Volatile Random Access Memory (NVRAM). If the IP address is set using the CLI, the Method field shows "manual".
Status Displays the link status of the interface. If the interface is disabled using the disable command, the "Status" field displays "administratively DOWN". Otherwise, it shows either "UP" or "DOWN".
Protocol Indicates whether the interface can support two-way communication. If the IP address is configured and the interface link is active, the Protocol field displays "UP". Otherwise, it shows "DOWN".
VRF Indicates whether a VRF is configured or set to the default.
port state Indicates the current state of the port (e.g., UP, DOWN).
subnet mask Displays the subnet mask associated with the IP address on the interface.
Port belongs to VRF Indicates the VRF to which the port belongs.
encapsulation Indicates the type of encapsulation used on the interface (e.g., GRE, ETHERNET, VLAN).
directed-broadcast-forwarding: Indicates whether directed broadcast forwarding is enabled or disabled.
ICMP redirect: Indicates whether ICMP redirects are enabled or disabled.
TCP adjust-mss: Displays the Maximum Segment Size for TCP connections.
proxy-arp Indicates whether proxy ARP is enabled or disabled.
ip arp-age Shows the ARP cache timeout value.
No Helper Addresses Indicates whether any helper addresses are configured.
No inbound ip access-list Indicates whether any inbound IP access lists are set.
No outgoing ip access-list Indicates whether any outbound IP access lists are set.
ip-mac: Displays the MAC address associated with the IP address on the interface.
no delay in notification Indicates whether any outbound IP access lists are set.
New entry
Anycast Gateway
Indicates whether anycast gateway is enabled on the interface.
New entry
Anycast Gateway MAC
Displays the MAC address used by the anycast gateway.
