route-target export

Configures export routes for a Virtual Network Identifier (VNI) for a Layer 2 Ethernet Virtual Private Network (EVPN) instance.
Syntax
route-target export { xxxx:yy | auto }
no route-target export{ xxxx:yy | auto }
Command Default

Export routes are not configured for a VNI.

Parameters
xxxx:yy
Specifies that export routes are configured manually in xxxx:yy format ,where xxxx is a 4-byte integer and yy is a 2-byte integer.
auto
Specifies that export routes are configured automatically.

EVPN EVI configuration mode

Usage Guidelines

This command is supported for RUCKUS ICX 7850 and ICX 7550 devices only.

The no form of the command removes the configured export routes and the policies for these routes.

Examples

The following example enables the auto-generation of export route-target community attributes for a VNI for an EVPN instance. 

device# configure terminal
device(config)# l2vpn evpn
device(config-evpn)# evpn-instance 1 vlan-based
device(config-evpn-evi)# route-target export auto

The following example manually configures an export route for a VNI for an EVPN instance. 

device# configure terminal
device(config)# l2vpn evpn
device(config-evpn)# evpn-instance 1 vlan-based
device(config-evpn-evi)# route-target export 1234:56
