Enabling the DHCP Client on a VE Port Associated with the Default VLAN

For the default startup configuration, a default VE is created and the DHCP client associated with this default VE interface is added to the running configuration. The following task enables the DHCP Client on a VE associated with the default VLAN.
  1. Enter global configuration mode. 
    device# configure terminal
  2. Enable the DHCP Client on a VE associated with the default VLAN.
    device(config)# ip dhcp-client ve default

The following example enables the DHCP client on a VE associated with the default VLAN. 

device# configure terminal
device(config)# ip dhcp-client ve default
