Configuration Notes for DHCP Option 82

  • DHCP snooping and DHCP option 82 are supported on a per-VLAN basis.
  • DHCP option 82 follows the same configuration rules and limitations described for DHCP snooping. For more information, refer to Configuration Notes and Feature Limitations for DHCP Snooping.
  • Option 82 can be disabled or re-enabled on multiple VLANs or a range of VLANs using a single command. On the ICX 8100 and ICX 8200 devices, the dhcp-relay information is command to use, while other ICX devices use the dhcp snooping relay information command.
