Configuring the Bootfile URL (Option 59) for the DHCPv6 Server
- Enter global configuration mode by issuing the
configure terminalcommand. - Enable the DHCPv6 server.
- Specify the URL of the bootfile that will be used by the DHCPv6 client during the boot process.
The following example specifies the URL of the bootfile used by the DHCPv6 client during the boot process for all DHCPv6 address pools.
device# configure terminal device(config)# ipv6 dhcp6-server enable device(config-dhcp6)# bootfile-url tftp://[2001:db8::46]/sample_day0_script.py
The following example specifies the URL of the bootfile used by the DHCPv6 client during the boot process for a specified subnet within the DHCPv6 server.
device# configure terminal device(config)# ipv6 dhcp6-server enable device(config-dhcp6)# subnet6 2021::/64 device(config-dhcp6-subnet)# bootfile-url tftp://[2001:db8::46]/sample_day0_script.py
The following example specifies the URL via HTTPS of the bootfile used by the DHCPv6 client during the boot process for all DHCPv6 address pools.
device# configure terminal device(config)# ipv6 dhcp6-server enable device(config-dhcp6)# bootfile-url https://[2001:db8::46]/sample_day0_script.py
The following example specifies the URL via HTTPS of the bootfile used by the DHCPv6 client during the boot process for a specified subnet within the DHCPv6 server.
