Initiated By

The Initiated By feature is designed to record the administrator account responsible for each configuration change.

Feature Overview

Currently, the configuration history does not include details about the administrator account that made the configuration changes. As a result, it can be challenging to identify which administrator performed specific configuration updates.

SmartZone release 7.1 introduces support for the Initiated By feature within the configuration history. The feature helps track and identify which administrator account made the configuration change.

Requirements

This feature has no special hardware or software requirements for feature enablement or usage.

Considerations

Following are the limitations of the feature.

For the SmartZone release 7.1 and later, the field displays the administrator account if a SmartZone user made the configuration change. Otherwise, it displays "N/A" to reflect that the configuration change was triggered by the system (not a user).

For the releases prior to SmartZone release 7.1, the Initiated By field in the old configuration histories will be displayed as "N/A".
