Activating and Editing the Dormakaba Plugin

Activate this plugin to manage Dormakaba door locks. The RUCKUS IoT Controller securely routes the data to the Ambiance Server.

To establish a connection to a partner infrastructure, the administrator must perform the following steps.

  1. From the main menu, click Admin.
  2. Click Settings. The Settings page is displayed, defaulting to the General Settings tab.
  3. Select the VM Configuration tab and scroll to the Certificate Management section.
  4. In the Certificate Management section, under Current Certificate, upload iot_server.crt and iot_server.key one at a time.

  5. Click Upload Certificate & Key.

    Note: The RUCKUS IoT Controller web server and the Dormakaba server certificates must be generated using the same CA authority certificate and key and uploaded to the Ambiance server and the RUCKUS IoT Controller before activating the plugin.
  6. From the main menu, select Admin.
  7. Click Plugins.
    The Plugins page is displayed. You can search for a plugin by its name in the Search plugins field to locate it.
  8. Click the Available Plugins tab.
    You will see tiles with plugin names on them. Locate the Dormakaba tile.

  9. In the Dormakaba tile, click + Configure to activate the plugin.

  10. Configure the following parameters.
    1. Enter the Client Id used for connecting to Ambiance Server.
      Note: The Client ID must not be configured as "admin" while activating the Dormakaba plugin.
    2. Enter the Client Secret used for connecting to Ambiance Server.
    3. Enter the Ambiance IP Address.
    4. Enter the Ambiance Host.
      Note: The URL for Host is https://example.test.net/.
    5. Enter the AMB Port that is used to communicate with the AMB server. By default, it is 443.
    6. Enter the AMB Auth Path to request authorization from AMB.
      Example: /WebAPI
    7. Enter the AMB API VER Path, the base version path to communicate with AMB.

    8. Choose how the IoT Controller validates the AMB certificate:
      • Self-signed: Select this if AMB uses a self-signed certificate.
      • Trusted: Select when using a certificate signed by a trusted Certificate Authority (CA).

      Certificate: Displays the certificate currently uploaded or used for communication. You can upload or replace the certificate by clicking Replace Certificate.

  11. Click Activate to save the changes.
    After saving the changes, the Dormakaba plugin is added to the Active Plugins tab and is removed from the Available Plugins tab. Under the Active Plugins tab, locate the Dormakaba tile. To modify the configurations, click Configure. To delete the plugin, click Delete.
  12. (Optional) Click Configure to edit the existing configuration.
    The Dormakaba Configuration sidebar is displayed. You can view the connection status of the plugin in the Status field. Make the required changes and click Update.
  13. (Optional) Click Delete to delete the plugin.
