fips

Configures the Federal Information Processing Standards (FIPS) options.
Syntax
fips { disable | enable | showlog | status }
Command Default

FIPS is not configured.

Parameters
disable
Disables FIPS compliance.
enable
Enables the controller for FIPS compliance.
showlog
Displays the bootup selftest log.
Note: FIPS must be enabled to use this command.
Status
Indicates the status of FIPS compliance.

Privileged EXEC mode

Usage Guidelines

This command is supported on all SmartZone platforms except SmartZone Data Plane controller.

Examples

The following example enables the controller for FIPS compliance.

device# fips
  disable     Disable system FIPS compliance
  enable      Enable system FIPS compliance
  showlog     Show Bootup Selftest Log
  status      Status of system FIPS compliance
