ad-service

Enters Active Directory Service configuration mode to enable active directory services configurations.
Syntax
ad-servicename
no ad-service[name]

After the ad-service command is entered to enable the Active Directory Service configuration mode, the following configuration syntax is available:

[ description text | friendly-name friendly-name | global-catalog | group-attrs attr-value | ip-address ip-address | name name | port port | windows-domain-name domain-name ]
Command Default

No active directory services profiles are configured.

Parameters
name
Specifies an active directory service.
description text
Sets the decription for the active directory service.
friendly-name friendly-name
Sets the active directory friendly name.
global-catalog
Enables global catalog support.
group-attrs attr-value
Sets user role mapping.
ip-address ip-address
Sets the IP address for the primary server.
name name
Sets the active directory service name.
port number
Sets the port for the primary server.
windows-domain-name domain-name
Sets the Windows Domain name. Valid values are dc=domain, dc=ruckuswireless, and dc=com.

Usage Guidelines

The no form of the command removes configured active directory services. If no active directory service is specified, all active service directories are removed.

This command is supported on all SmartZone platforms except SmartZone Data Plane controller.

Examples

The following example configures an active directory service and enters Active Directory Service configuration mode. 

device(config)# ad-service
  <name>     Active Directory Service name
device(config)# ad-service test

device(config-ad-service)#
  description             Set Active Directory Service description
  do                      Do command
  end                     End the current configuration session and return to privileged EXEC mode
  exit                    Exit from the EXEC
  friendly-name           Set Active Directory friendly name
  global-catalog          Enable Global Catalog support
  group-attrs             Set User Role Mapping
  help                    Display this help message
  ip-address              Set Primary Server IP
  name                    Set Active Directory Service name
  no                      Disable and delete commands
  port                    Set Primary Server Port
  windows-domain-name     Set Windows Domain Name

The following example removes an active directory service called “test”. 

device(config)# no ad-service test
