Setting RADIUS Parameters
The timeout parameter specifies how many seconds the RUCKUS device waits for a response from the RADIUS server before either retrying the authentication request or determining that the RADIUS server is unavailable and moving on to the next authentication method in the authentication-method list.
The retransmit parameter specifies the maximum number of retransmission attempts. When an authentication request times out, the RUCKUS device retransmits the request up to the maximum number of times configured.
- To specify the RADIUS timeout,
enter the
radius-server timeoutcommand in global configuration mode followed by a value in seconds as shown in the following example.The timeout can be from 1 through 15 seconds. The default is 3 seconds.The example sets the RADIUS server to time out after 5 seconds. - To set the RADIUS retransmit
limit, enter the
radius-server retransmitcommand followed by a value from 1 through 5 as shown in the following example. The default is 2.
