Configuring the OOB management port to be a member of a management VRF

This task configures the out-of-band (OOB) management port to be member of a user-specified (nondefault) management VRF.

Enter global configuration mode.

device# configure terminal
device (config)#

In global configuration mode, create a nondefault VRF instance and exit.

device(config)# vrf MGMT_IP
defice(config-vrf-MGMT_IP)# exit-vrf
device(config)#

In global configuration mode, enter the management-vrf command and specify the VRF instance.

device(config)# management-vrf MGMT_IP
device(config)#
```

In global configuration mode, enter the interface management command and specify the only supported interface number.
```
device(config)# interface management 1
device(config-if-mgmt-1)#
```

In management interface configuration mode, enter the vrf forwarding command and specify the management VLAN, to enable VRF forwarding on the OOB management port.
```
device(config-if-mgmt-1)# vrf forwarding MGMT_IP
```
