1G Breakout Subports
The four 4x10-Gbps breakout subports
derived from a 40G module can be configured to 1 Gbps separately, so that the subports
do
not need to be configured at the same speed.
Consider the following details when configuring 1G breakout subports:
- 1G breakout subports can be configured on ICX 7850 and ICX 7550 devices only.
- 1G breakout subports is supported with two types of optics only. For details of these supported media types, refer to the RUCKUS Ethernet Optics data sheet.
- Auto-negotiation must be disabled when configuring 1G breakout subports.
- 1G breakout subports is limited to breakout subports and not applicable for ports configured as stacking ports.
