JSON Commands - User Online Control
In this section:
- OverviewThe Northbound Portal interface supports the following JSON commands:
- Request Authentication - Asynchronous LoginIn the Hotspot (WISPr) WLAN use case, an unauthorized user is redirected to an external web portal server by the controller. Using the asynchronous login command (RequestType=LoginAsync), the external web portal server sends a request to the controller to authenticate the user using the authentication server.
- Using Asynchronous APIWhen using the asynchronous API (RequestType = LoginAsync), NBI will always return a response as pending authentication.
- Request Authentication Synchronous LoginThe controller also provides a synchronous login blocking command (RequestType=Login).
- Querying a User StatusAfter the authentication request is issued, the external web portal server can query the user's authentication status.
- Querying Enrichment Information
- Terminating a User SessionAfter a user session is authorized, the external web portal server can terminate the user session by sending a JSON request to the controller.
- Disconnect CommandThe controller also provides a command for terminating user TCP (Transmission Control Protocol) connections from the AP (Access Point).
