Enabling relay agent information (option 82)

Complete the following steps to activate DHCP option 82.
This option enables the DHCP server to echo relay agent information in all replies.
Note: It is not possible to configure relay agent echo (option 82) using the option command. The command and syntax to configure option 82 is shown below.
  1. Enter global configuration mode by issuing the configure terminal command. 
    device# configure terminal
  2. Activate DHCP option 82. 
    device(config)# ip dhcp-server relay-agent-echo enable
