PE console port behavior

Once a PE unit has joined the Campus Fabric network, its console is automatically redirected to the console of the CB active controller. This behavior is consistent with the behavior of stack members when they join a traditional stack. Automatic redirection of a PE to the CB console allows a network administrator to authenticate and manage the Campus Fabric network from a local PE, if desired, rather than from the CB, which may be in a remote location.

A PE candidate and a provisional PE have a local console connection indicated by the device prompt as shown in the following example.

When the PE's local console has been automatically redirected to the CB, the prompt on the PE unit changes to reflect the connection and shows the prefix "rconsole-#@" in front of the device type.

System output indicates when the PE has joined the network and when the console has been redirected to the CB as shown in the following example.
