ICX 7550 show stack Command Displays Local Unit Capability

The show stack command entered on a ICX 7550 device displays information on the current configuration, the operating mode, and the speed of the device. The related output can be interpreted as follows:

  • config - the current configuration mode
  • oper - the current operating mode of the port (determined during bootup)
  • Speed setting:
    • uplink-100g - slot 2 uplink-100g is configured.
    • stack-40g - Module 2 is only 40g capable.
    • stack-40g/100g - Module 2 is 40g or 100g capable depending on the optic and cable.

Note: The show stack command displays the capability of the local unit. The units in a stack may show different oper modes.
Note: The config and oper mode could be different if the Module 2 profile configuration has changed but you have not yet entered the write memory and reload commands.
The following show stack output shows that Module 2 of the local ICX 7550 device is configured for and operating in data uplink mode and is 100-Gbps capable, depending on the installed cable and optic.
