RUCKUS Network Director Deployment and Workflow

RUCKUS Network Director must abide by specific connectivity requirements, while the workflow maintains a number of stages of communication between the APs, RND, and SZ.

Connection Requirements

  • Ensure that RND is connected to the SZ management interface and control interface.
  • Ensure that the AP is connected to the SZ control interface and RND.
Note: If SZ has multiple interfaces, ensure that RND is connected to the SZ management interface and control interface. In this scenario, APs must be connected to the SZ control interface.

If SZ has only one interface, ensure that RND is connected to the SZ single interface. The AP must also be connected to the SZ single interface.
