Support for Port Dampening (Stack Ports) Link dampening is now enabled by default on stacking ports whenever stacking is configured and the stack is enabled. This enhancement suppresses transient micro‑flap events on stacking links, ensuring that only genuine and sustained link state changes are passed to the stacking control plane. As a result, unnecessary stack elections and control‑plane churn caused by brief cable or PHY disturbances are reduced, improving overall stack stability without requiring any user configuration.
