Loading the Golden Image from U-Boot

The Golden image should be used for switch recovery purposes where the normal recovery from primary/secondary partition is not possible.

The Golden image is only supported on ICX 8100 and ICX 8200 devices.

An ICX 8100 or ICX 8200 switch can be recovered with the golden image.

  1. Make a console connection to the switch.
  2. Continuously enter b to stop at the boot prompt.
  3. Enter the command boot_golden_primary or boot_golden_secondary.
