Enabling the Flooding of Unregistered IPv4 Multicast Frames in an IGMP-Snooping-Enabled VLAN

Flooding of unregistered IPv4 multicast frames can be enabled in an IGMP-snooping-enabled VLAN. The following task enables the flooding of unregistered IPv4 multicast frames in an IGMP-snooping-enabled VLAN.

Note: In FastIron 09.0.10 and later releases, the flooding of unregistered multicast frames is disabled by default.

Enabling the flooding of unregistered IPv4 multicast frames in an IGMP-snooping-enabled VLAN is supported on the following platforms:

  • RUCKUS ICX 8100 (standalone)
  • RUCKUS ICX 8200 (standalone and stacking)
  • RUCKUS ICX 7850 (MCT, standalone, and stacking)
  • RUCKUS ICX 7650 (MCT, standalone, and stacking)
  • RUCKUS ICX 7550 (MCT, standalone, and stacking)
  • RUCKUS ICX 7150 (standalone and stacking)
  • RUCKUS ICX 7150-ES (standalone)
  1. Enter global configuration mode.
    device# configure terminal
  2. Enable the flooding of unregistered IPv4 multicast frames.
    device(config)# ip multicast flood-unregistered
