Rollback Guidelines

The following guidelines apply to rolling back RUCKUS IoT Controller 2.0.0.0 to 1.8.2.0 MR:

  • You cannot use a backup of the RUCKUS IoT Controller 2.0.0.0 database to configure the network of RUCKUS IoT Controller 1.8.2.0 MR.
  • Because RUCKUS IoT Controller 1.8.2.0 MR has a number of security issues that have been fixed in RUCKUS IoT Controller 2.0.0.0, RUCKUS highly recommends that you not roll back to RUCKUS IoT Controller 1.8.2.0 MR after a successful migration to RUCKUS IoT Controller 2.0.0.0.

If you want to roll back from RUCKUS IoT Controller 2.0.0.0 to 1.8.2.0 MR, refer to RUCKUS IoT Controller 2.0.0.0 to 1.8.2.0 MR Gateway Connections for APs in SmartZone 6.1 or 5.2.2.
